COVID-19

COVID-19 came to question our whole way of doing, overnight. Suddenly we look differently at the world around us. The closing of all schools for a few weeks puts incredible pressure on parents and families and we have to scramble to make plans.

In the midst of this chaos, I get such a warm feeling about our community and more specifically the parents and family of Babbel & Krabbel Nursery School. Although there is concern about the time ahead, there is a sense of hope, understanding and support.

I’ve always said that the parents and children of our school are a very special group of people, but to experience it like the last few days gives me goose bumps!

We wish you all the best with the new normal we have to get used to and then of course to keep your children busy, without TV ;) and still in a playful and practical way to promote their development and keep their minds awake.

Over the next few weeks we will put practical activities on our groups every day, so you won’t run out of ideas!

With collaboration, understanding, support and hope we will come out more equipped and smarter on the other side. We will miss everyone but look forward to seeing each other again and continuing with our academic program as soon as possible.

Regards,

Hanlea van Schalkwyk
